MizouAI offers teachers a platform to gain individualized student understanding about a topic. It provides personalized learning experiences for students by engaging in a conversation about unit topics and content. Additionally, MizouAI allows teachers to monitor each student's conversation. MizouAI even gives a "grade" for students based on their interaction and understanding of the content. It's a quick and easy way to engage students and gauge their learning through a fun, creative AI platform.
As a Before Reading activity to a unit, I will ask my students to:
- answer the "essential question" based on their previous knowledge
- interact with the author of the novel we are about to read
- explore the unit's genre
- make predictions based on clues from the title, book jacket picture or blurb, or chapter titles.
During the unit, I will have students chat with MizouAI for a(n):
- exit ticket for that day's lesson or reading
- debate with the author or characters
- comprehension check of student understanding
- reflection on the author's message, theme, or purpose
- analysis of plot elements (character development, setting, conflict, etc.)
